Should you have additional questions, please feel free to
contact edun LIVE.
1. HOW DO I SEE PRICING OR PLACE AN ORDER?
If you are not a wholesale customer, you can proceed directly to our
store. If you would like to purchase wholesale, Please visit our
registration page and select the account level that applies to you;
Business and
Reseller accounts will be reviewed by our staff prior to approval, but
Individual accounts are immediately authorized. You MUST be registered to view pricing on any of the t-shirt pages.
2. DO YOU DO SCREEN PRINTING?
We do not; we simply provide a blank canvas for your artwork. We are adding Screen Printers we've established relationships with in our
Partners section, though, so you'll be able to find someone local to you.
3. WHAT ARE YOUR STYLE OPTIONS?
Our product offering includes a unisex style as well as men's, women's and toddlers/kids blank tees. Pictures of each and descriptive information can be found in our
t-shirts section. We are also currently in development to increase our range both in terms of style and color - we've listened to your feedback and know that you want them! This summer/fall we are looking to have long sleeve tees, v-necks, tanks, etc. in a variety of colors.
4. WHAT ARE YOUR COLOR OPTIONS?
We have three colors in stock: Positively Black, Great White, and Super Natural. The Positively Black and Great White tees are available in both conventional and 100% organic cotton options (Organic Great White tees are available exclusively through our distributor
S&S Activewear. The Super Natural option is undyed (it's the actual color of the cotton) and is 100% Ecocert certified organic, made in Uganda (see
Ecocert for more information on the certification process). This tee can be garment dyed. However, the thread remains the original, undyed color. This makes for a very cool, vintagey look.
5. WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM ORDER?
There are no minimum orders. For our wholesale customers, please note that one "case" is comprised of 84 t-shirts of one size, so it is not possible to obtain case pricing by mixing 42 Larges and 42 Smalls, for example - in that scenario, "dozen" pricing would be applied to each batch of 42.
6. WHERE DOES edun LIVE CURRENTLY MANUFACTURE?
edun LIVE utilizes a network of factories and fabric mills in sub-Saharan African countries for its manufacturing, such as Uganda, Tanzania, Lesotho, Madagascar and South Africa. All edun LIVE t-shirts are made from 100% African cotton, and the entire production process (including ginning, spinning and knitting) occurs in these regions.
7. ARE edun LIVE T-SHIRTS COMPETITIVELY PRICED?
Yes, edun LIVE t-shirts are competitively priced, especially considering the enormous value that flows to those individuals benefiting from each purchase. edun LIVE t-shirts are often less expensive than other ethically produced t-shirt blanks. Made from 100% African cotton and manufactured in factories located in some of the most impoverished regions of sub-Saharan Africa, each purchased edun LIVE blank t-shirt creates trade and employment opportunities for Africans. Your purchase ensures that these people have the chance to earn a paycheck and live with dignity.
8. WHY IS INCREASING AND ENSURING LONG-TERM SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT AND TRADE FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES ESSENTIAL IN THE FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY?
In order to help Africa invest in health, water, roads, and education systems for its people, and grow sufficiently to reduce its dependency on development assistance and debt relief, trade opportunities must increase. An expanded and fairer trade system would allow African countries to earn the resources they need, and not only achieve the Millennium Development Goals, but reach a more important goal for Africa: self-sufficiency. In 1980, Africa had a 6% share of world trade. By 2002, this had dropped to just 2% despite the fact that Africa has 12% of the world's population. If Africa could regain just an additional 1% share of global trade, it would earn $70 billion more in exports each year - more than three times what the region currently receives in international assistance. If, in addition, all countries in East Asia, South Asia and Latin America were each to increase their share of the world exports by 1%, the resulting gains in income could lift 128 million people out of poverty.
9. IS edun LIVE A CHARITY?
edun LIVE is not a charity, it is a for-profit business. Via a successful economic business model driven by high-volume sales, it is edun LIVE's mission to provide long-term sustainable employment in developing countries to help foster economic growth rather than provide charity.
10. HOW DOES edun LIVE ENSURE AND PROVIDE LONG-TERM SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT?
edun LIVE has a triple bottom line, which means edun LIVE's decision to do business with a factory is not based only on price and margin – it is also based on the resulting social and environmental impact. edun LIVE is focused on providing a deeper commitment by working with the factories to grow their capabilities so they are a viable resource, not only for edun LIVE, but also for other brands.
11. DO YOU SUPPORT THE FACTORY COMMUNITY AT A LOCAL LEVEL?
There is a long-term commitment for
edun LIVE to support local factory communities. To date,
edun LIVE has supported local communities through the donation of a well and employee training on HIV/AIDS. We have also recently launched the Conservation Cotton Initiative with the Wildlife Conservation Society to help farmers transition from conventional to organic cotton growing in Uganda, Zambia and Madagascar. However, it is
edun LIVE's immediate mission to create jobs and, most importantly, long-term sustainable employment.
edun LIVE is working hard to put in place an infrastructure and network with local mills, cotton growers and manufacturers. It is
edun LIVE's goal to create a blueprint by doing the groundwork and laying the foundations so that the process can be easily replicated by other brands. For more information on our position on factory standards, please click

12. HOW QUICKLY DO YOU SHIP ORDERS?
Orders are shipped within 48 hours. Customers in North and South America have the option to expedite shipping, while customers in the rest of the world will be served by An Post's RegisteredPost service, which is shipped via ground or air depending upon your location. Depending on your proximity to our two warehouses in New Jersey and Ireland, your order could take anywhere from 1 day to 10 days after shipment to arrive.
13. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
One simple way to get involved is to ask your school, employer, church organization, etc. what kind of tees they are using for their merchandise, and request that they use
edun LIVE. You could also
become a fan of edun LIVE on Facebook and send the link out to your friends and networks. These are small steps that help enormously in helping spread awareness of what we are doing and increasing the orders to our partners on the ground in Africa.
