edun LIVE has been very fortunate to have partnered with amazing organizations during its young life. From companies giving back to HIV/AIDS programs, such as MAC’s Viva Glam campaign, to non-profits bringing awareness to the plight in Darfur like Amnesty’s Instant Karma/Make Some Noise initiative, we are so pleased to be the t-shirt brand chosen to carry these messages.
NGOs
Wildlife Conservation Society
The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) aims to save wildlife and wild lands through careful science, international conservation, education and the management of the world’s largest system of urban wildlife parks. In 2007, EDUN and WCS established the Conservation Cotton Initiative (CCI) a program run by WCS to promote production of organic, conservation-friendly cotton in high biodiversity areas in Africa. CCI will educate, train, and acquire the equipment necessary to help local farmers transition from conventional practices to organic, sustainable cotton production that conserves wildlife habitats. Both farmers and wildlife benefit. Farmers get the benefits of premium prices for their organic cotton, earn additional income from growing and marketing rotational crops and products; and reduce their exposure to health risks associated with the use of inorganic pesticides. Wildlife benefit from active efforts by farmers to protect habitats and adopt environmental-friendly land management approaches. CCI is an example of an incredibly exciting and innovative means for public and private partners to work together to channel resources and funds to those who need it most on the ground.
