Gorillas in the Midst (Ep 1)
There are roughly 720 remaining mountain gorillas left in the world and there are none in captivity so you can count that out (some were captured in the 70s in an attempt to begin a population in captive facilities, but none of the offspring ever survived.). A majority of these gorillas live in the Bwindi National Forest. It's referred to as The Impenetrable Forest, but given the expanding population of Africa, mining, and heartless poachers, as well the geo-political turmoil in the region (the park is surrounded by Rwanda, Uganda, and the Republic of Congo), the park is not so impenetrable anymore.
