With the edun LIVE product range, we want to convey the beauty of returning to the source, getting back to nature, enjoying the purity and simplicity that the world has to offer. This is reflected in our color palette - Positively Black, Great White and Super Natural as well as our product line - Genesis, Adam, Eve, Lamb and Scion.

Our Inspiration

Our product names were inspired by the story of Mitochondrial Eve. This is the name given by researchers to the woman who is the universal matrilineal (i.e., maternal) ancestor for all living humans. Her DNA is now found in all of us. Incredibly, the matrilineal DNA in every living person is derived from hers. Mitochondrial Eve is the female counterpart of the Y-chromosomal Adam, our common patrilineal ancestor. Mitochondrial Eve is believed to have lived about 140,000 years ago in what is now Ethiopia, Kenya or Tanzania - sub-Saharan African nations that are close to the heart and mission of edun LIVE.
